Before proceeding with your purchase, there are a few important things you must be aware of.
Contract templates are provided to you in Microsoft Word format and sent to your nominated email address. Once you purchase a template, you must complete the template by manually inputting certain information. The templates contain an introduction page, prompts and guide notes to help you individualise your template.
Your template is for use by your business only and you are not permitted to share it with others (other than the party with whom you are entering into the agreement) or sell it to a third party. Litton Legal retains copyright in the contract template but grants to you a licence to reproduce and amend the template for your business purposes.
Please remember – Every Business is Different! A contract tailored specifically to your business is always preferable over a contract template. Understandably, legal spend might not be high on the budget so a template can offer a temporary alternative.
We have drafted our contract templates in a broad way so that they can be used by a variety of different businesses. However, there may be aspects of your business which the contract does not cover. This is an inherent risk in using contract templates. Importantly, we do not make any warranties about the suitability of this contract template to your particular circumstances. If you purchase the template, you acknowledge that we will not be liable in the event you incur any loss or damage from your use of the template.
This contract template has been drafted in accordance with the law in force in Australia as at November 2021. You may wish to seek legal advice as to whether there has been any substantive change in the law applicable to your contract template.
